Given the economy today, I would hope that less than a dollar for 13 (!) stories sounds pretty darn good, even if I wasn’t the author of one of those stories.
But I am. And I’m really, really proud to be included with these other amazing authors. Hand on heart, I never thought I would make the cut.

And since I’m telling secrets, I have to admit that I wrote “Matsuri” before I went to Japan. Needless to say, I was anxious that I’d gotten the entire feeling of a shrine wrong, but when I saw my first one–on a rainy day in Kagoshima–I discovered that somehow, I’d gotten it right. TBH, hours and hours and hours of cultural immersion is the most likely reason, but I’m choosing to believe that Yume’s ✨magic✨ did the trick. 🦊
